Located at Prestons, we have multiple positions available in Warehouse and Transport Operations. Shift times are available, from 5:00 am, 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Team Leaders must be available to work across a 7 day roster
As Team Leader, you will help to promote and support excellence across Warehouse/Transport operations with a focus on managing inventory, incoming goods, coordinating delivery schedules and monitoring staff training, development and performance. You will be instrumental in establishing a new benchmark in warehouse/transport efficiency, ensuring smooth operations at every stage.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and control warehouse/transport operations ensuring efficient operation, high productivity, minimum costs and controlled inventory.
- Assisting with coordinating store delivery schedules and meeting daily deadlines.
- Provide encouragement and direction to the team through coaching, training and performance feedback.
- Prioritising and enforcing safety and compliance procedures within the warehouse, reporting any incidents or hazards.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Previous experience in a Team Leader/Supervisor role (FMCG preferred)
- Strong leadership capability and a genuine interest in developing team members to their full potential
- Exceptional problem-solving skills are a must, as is the ability to think strategically, guiding the team towards continued success.
- Communication is key, you will have the ability to engage colleagues at all levels
